The Č”ač̓aałuksuu Project (take care of the water)
Grant Amount: $150,000
Salmon Parks Stewardship Society (SSPS) was formed by the Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nation (MMFN) Council of Chiefs to implement the Nation’s vision for salmon-related stewardship and will be leading this project. The Čačaałuksuu Project will document important cultural and ecological values, locations and features within the salmon watersheds that are being protected through the Salmon Parks IPCA. While the focus is on land-based learning and lifting up MMFN youth and elders together, there will also be opportunities for youth to document the work they are doing with training from experienced videographers.
