Reeve Slough Salmon Habitat Reconnection Project

Grant Amount: $400,000

The Kwikwetlem First Nation is partnering with Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the City of Coquitlam to reconnect the Reeve Slough to the Coquitlam River. The project is supporting 10 engineering, environmental, archaeology, project management position and 8 construction crew and environmental monitoring positions. It will mitigate flood risk while reconnecting 31,800 square meters of habitat to the Coquitlam River and it will create 600 square meters of new spawning and rearing habitat.
