Noolhk’ai-Tachek-Sinkut Pilot Project (NTSPP)
Grant Amount: $150,000
The Noolhk/ai-Tachek-Sinkut Pilot Project (NTSPP) is a bilateral project between Saik’uz and the Province of B.C. At the broad scale, the NTSPP seeks to replace the current watershed management and regulatory tools used by B.C. to a rights-based stewardship framework grounded in the implementation of the Yinka Dene Water Law and supported by traditional governance. The intention of this proposal is to support the design and implementation of a monitoring program that will fill the data gaps that currently exist with respect to water quantity, relationship of surface to ground water recharge and impact to fish.
